Autumn Equinox Candle, Harvest Celebration, Small Batch Artisan Candle

There are two days a year when we have equal day, equal night: the Autumn Equinox, and the Spring Equinox. The sun is right at the equator, and gives us a balance between day and night, 12 hours each. The Autumn equinox, is historically, a time for Harvest Festivals and celebrations of gratitude. Think, Pagan Thanksgiving. Harvest season starts at Lughnasa and ends with Samhain (August 1st and October 31st) and in the middle is the Autumn Equinox, also called Mabon. Our ancestors would gather with their abundant harvests, sharing among friends and family at this time of year to relish in the results of their hard work and dedication. They were thankful to the earth for providing, thankful to each other for the labor it takes to grow and produce the food, thankful to the sun for sustaining them all. Our Autumn Equinox scent captures that crisp fall air, the sweet apple harvest, the fallen leaves of late September and delicious spices. It ends up with a bit of an apple cider among fall leaves kind of vibe. It captures fall perfectly to me. Our Candles are made with the highest quality products, hand poured, burn smooth and smell like magic. (ALL OF THEM!) They come in 8oz glass Amber jars (Candle itself is 7 oz +/- .5oz) with black metal lids or a 4 oz. metal tin. These items are handmade.
