Brigid's Fires Candle, Freyja's Daughters Candles

Brigid is a Celtic goddess of poetry, healing, blacksmithing, wisdom, new life, Spring, animals and protection. She was the daughter of the Dagda. In Pagan Ireland, bonfires were often lit on hilltops in honor of Brigid. These fires were thought to protect the livestock and encourage Brigid to bless the crops below. In Kildare, a fire was kept going, never being extinguished, in Brigid's name (Some say it was Brigid who kept this fire going). Fires were also lit in her honor at Imbolc, a pagan holiday to signal the turning of the wheel of the year, closer to spring from winter. Imbolc falls at the halfway point between the Winter Solstice, and Spring Equinox, Yule and Beltane. When Christianity made its way to Ireland, the Goddess Brigid, became St. Brigit. The Fire at Kildare was established in St. Brigit's temple and kept lit for over 500 years. The foundation of the Fire Temple was restored in the 1980's. You can still visit it today.
Our Brigid's Fire Candle is a blend of Vanilla, Sugar and woodsmoke.
Our Candles are made with the highest quality ingredients.

They're hand poured, burn smooth and smell like magic. (ALL OF THEM!)
They are set in 8oz glass Amber jars (Candle itself is 7 oz +/- .5oz) with black lids.

These items are handmade. There may be slight imperfections (like a label that is off center).
