Hekate Perfume Oil

Hekate is the Greek Goddess of Witchcraft, the moon and herbal magic; she is the guardian of souls and ushers them from death to life and life to death. When Demeter raised the alarm that Persephone was missing, Hekate was the first there ready to begin the search into the underworld to find her. She lights the way for Persephone at the seasons change to bring her to and from the underworld...She is a torch bearer, a protector of travelers and has often been placed upon crossroads to both protect and guide those along the road.
We have chosen a unique combination for her.
Plant associations for Hekate are usually poisonous plants, herbs, Cypress and Garlic. We have gone a slightly different route. (I think Hekate lit the path)
We did include Cypress as they usually stand guard in cemeteries. Cypress is symbol of immortality and life beyond death. It is often used for strength, new beginnings and cleansing.
Sage to represent the herbal aspects of her protection and guidance of witches. And Rose....rose is rarely mentioned when Hekate is brought up but it encompasses who she is so perfectly. In an ancient text (Chaldean Oracles) she is referred to as "The Flower of Fire" or "The Rose of Fire". Roses bring healing, beauty and soothing to our souls in their delicate scent, beautiful blooms, petals and in the case of wild roses, their vitamin rich hips. Yet the rose protects its blessings with its thorns. A Rose will offer you gentleness and yet it will put up a fight if you try to treat it with carelessness. It will stand as the protector of your garden and also be the most glorious sight to behold there.
Amber aids in transitions, transformations and enhances divination.
Sandalwood for healing, balance and protection. Benzoin for amplifying energies and cleansing.
And finally Dark musk which is associated with death, the afterlife and the underworld.
The combination is an unexpected, both earthy and otherworldly, fragrance that is sweet and rich, light and dark.

Perfume Oil:

10 ml Glass Roller Bottles (Stainless Steel roller ball)

Ingredients: High Quality Fragrance/Essential Oils, Organic Coconut Oil
Use: Shake the bottle well to redistribute the fragrance.
Apply to pulse points (wrists, behind the ears, neck, chest, etc.).
Apply as needed.
