Meadow of Mothers is our tribute to the Green Meadows of the afterlife in Norse myth. Everyone knows Valhalla, Odin’s great hall reserved for the most elite warriors, but far fewer know that ordinary souls journey instead to Fólkvangr, the hall of Freyja. Upon crossing over, they first pass through the Meadow of the Dísir, an eternal spring landscape tended by our maternal ancestors, waiting to welcome us into the next world just as they once welcomed us into this one.
This vision of an everlasting spring meadow forms the heart of our Meadow of Mothers perfume. Sublime green notes, sweet soothing aloe, soft lilies and heliotrope, and delicate apple blossom come together to evoke a place of comfort, renewal, and gentle ancestral presence.
