Memento Mori Collection Sample Set; 4-4ml Sample Sprays, EDT
The Memento Mori Collection honors the sacred cycle that binds life and death. In every breath, something ends; in every ending, something begins. Guided by the stoic devotion to presence, each fragrance captures the tender exchange between life and death. These scents honor the bloom and the bone, the shadow and the light, the inhale and the exhale. To remember death is to remember to live. This is the heart of the collection: the soul’s dance between body and beyond, the beauty of what fades, and the ancient human reverence for death as teacher, mirror, and companion.
Each perfume represents a stage in the cycle: from the vitality of Memento Vivere to the sacred darkness of Black Mass and the luminous stillness of Lux Aeterna. The collection blends gothic romanticism with modern minimalism, offering a sensory experience that is both atmospheric and deeply human.
Rather than dwelling in morbidity, the Memento Mori Collection celebrates the beauty of the fleeting. It is a reminder that life is precious because it ends and that fragrance is a ritual of remembrance, presence, and awakening.
We start the cycle with Memento Vivere. Memento Vivere means “Remember Life,” and it is here, in the brief span the soul resides within the body, that the miracle of living unfolds. Here, presence becomes both duty and gift. This fragrance is a blend of Magnolia, Tonka Bean, and light incense. Magnolia, long associated with inner peace, clarity, and renewal, brings a serene floral brightness. Tonka Bean, with its warm vanilla like sweetness, deepens that calm and adds a quiet sense of inspiration. The result is a clean, luminous floral that is not overly sweet. It is the reminder that life glows brightest against the shadow of its ending.
The second step is Black Mass. Black Mass is the funeral march, the rich darkness of the end of life and the freedom of the soul. We chose a smoky, resinous incense for Black Mass. A Blend of Frankincense, Labdanum, Black Pepper, Birch Tar, Myrrh, and mystery this fragrance stands apart from the others in the collection in that each one carries light in the way of a floral or bright tone- Black Mass is just as it should be. Dark, sacred, transformative but with a bite.
The third part of this cycle is Bone & Bloom.
After death, the soul slips free and the body becomes what remains- the bone, the vessel, the quiet architecture of what once lived. Yet from endings, new beginnings take root. From bone, there is bloom. From what has fallen away, something tender rises.
This fragrance draws inspiration from ancient perfumery, built on a base of Labdanum and Orris Root, materials once used to anoint both the living and the dead. It opens with a green, root bright iris, a flash of living stem and mineral light. As the fragrance settles, the warmth of labdanum gathers beneath it, sun soaked resin, ancient and steady, the scent of what remains. The iris dries into a bone white veil, papery, mineral, and ghost floral. Bone & Bloom is ethereal, translucent, and quietly transcendent, a perfume that feels like the soul leaving the body, like a gentle apparition drifting between worlds. It is the beauty that rises from endings, the bloom that emerges from bone.
The fourth and final part of the Memento Mori cycle is Lux Aeterna, Eternal Light.
Where Black Mass is the descent and Bone & Bloom is the turning point, Lux Aeterna is the afterglow: the light that remains when the body is gone, the radiance that lingers in memory, devotion, and spirit.
This fragrance is inspired by the ancient devotional practice of ganosis, a ritual of coating goddess statues in beeswax and fragrant oils, most notably rose oil. This was done not only to preserve the stone, but to honor the divine with earthly offerings, scent, and care. Lux Aeterna is our interpretation of that sacred anointing: a blend of Damask Rose, warm Beeswax, and rich Myrrh, creating a luminous, reverent fragrance that feels like a soft flame in the dark.
It is the final breath of the cycle, the circle complete, and we hear the echo that while life ends, light continues.
In the end, the Memento Mori Collection is our love letter to Life. To the sweetness of now, the tenderness of memory, and the quiet truth that nothing is promised. May these scents accompany you through your own cycles of becoming and serve as a reminder to live, to feel deeply, to love and to cherish.
