Persephone Perfume Oil

Persephone is the Goddess of the Underworld, of the Seasons and of Spring. You likely already know her story if you have made your way here but I will fill you in just in case. Persephone was the daughter of Demeter, the Goddess of Agriculture and the fertility of the earth. Persephone was a beautiful, innocent young woman, wandering the fields picking flowers when Hades, God of the Underworld set his eyes on her. He kidnapped her and brought her to the Underworld. Her mother, distraught and heartbroken, searched for her. When it became known where she was, Hades was forced by the other Gods to return her but it was found that Persephone tasted the food of the underworld. She ate pomegranate seeds which sealed her fate. She was then forced to live a portion of the year in the Underworld, and the rest of the year above. Demeter in her despair of losing her daughter to the Underworld, stopped all plants from growing. And through this we have Winter. Persephone was said to be the mother of the Underworld. She was kind and nurturing to the souls there and was loved by all. She eased the transition and brought comfort to the departed.
We chose a Pomegranate scent for her, for obvious reasons. It is slightly tart to represent the sting of Demeter, slightly sweet for Persephone's innocence, and overall a deep, complex scent for the whole of who Persephone was.

Perfume Oil:

10 ml Glass Roller Bottles (Stainless Steel roller ball)
Ingredients: High Quality Fragrance/Essential Oils, Organic Coconut Oil
Use: Shake the bottle well to redistribute the fragrance.
Apply to pulse points (wrists, behind the ears, neck, chest, etc.).
Apply as needed.
