The Hedge Witch Body Oil

The Hedge Witch Body Oil is made with Birch and Chaga infused oils, blended with Sweet Almond Oil, Vitamin E, Birch Essential Oil and a hint of our Bjarkan fragrance. It is an invigorating light fragrance.
*I am not making any claims about my product but I do recommend doing your own research on the potential skin benefits of both Birch and Chaga!
We chose to use Birch leaves, Birch Bark, and the Chaga Mushroom for the properties so closely associated with the Hedge Witch. A Hedge Witch rides the line between the spiritual plane and physical.
She (or he) embraces the cycles of life and is fascinated by the transformations found in nature and the connection with the Divine found therein. She is connected to all nature- whether it be the cottage garden or the dark forest.

The Birch tree has a network beneath the ground, an unseen kinship to the forest around it. When one birch is injured, sick or suffering in some way, the mother birch uses this underground network to send nutrients and help to the one in need. (Similar to the Mushrooms underground network!) The Birch tree has been seen as sacred for many around the world. Birch is used for rituals, for the Spring Equinox, Beltane, the Summer Solstice, and Yule....the Native Americans used the bark for sacred scrolls. The Celts believed there was a connection to Brigid, the Germanic tribes to Frigga and Scandinavians to Freyja. In Slavic and Baltic Paganism, our deceased loved ones take residence within the birch tree. Both Baltic and Slavic regions considered the birch tree the most sacred. It is understandable that it was seen as the tree of life for many. The trees were tapped early and the sap running through the birch was made into drinks and is still! Our Ancestors drank from and received the first sugar of the season following a cold winter from the birch sap. It is the guardian of the souls of our ancestors, the guardian and giver of life to the living, and the protector and mother to the entire birch forest. There are such strong regeneration and rebirth stories within this one beautiful tree, that it has to be the center piece for our Hedge Witch Oil.

This oil is made with:
Birch Infused Sweet Almond Oil
Chaga Infused Sweet Almond Oil, Avocado Oil, Tamanu Oil, Coconut Oil, Vitamin E, Birch Essential Oil, Natural Fragrance Oil
They are packaged in 2 oz glass bottles.


To Use: If you are looking to use this oil to help heal or soothe certain skin areas, apply as needed. If you are wanting this as a replacement for your lotion, I recommend you apply after your shower or bath, to damp skin. Once applied, you can again pat dry, if needed. By applying the oil to damp skin, you're able to stretch the oil a little further and ensure a smooth, and more even application.
